It is a 10 week long course at the cost of $500.00. We are willing to work out a recession proof payment agreement, although we do not believe there is a recession in the Kingdom of God. The Scarlet Cord Initiative is an intensive 10 week program designed to teach you the fundamentals of screenwriting. The goal of the course is to instruct you on how to take an idea and turn it into the first draft of a screenplay. You will learn how to practice His Presence in your writing sessions, the foundations of crafting the story, how to develop solid characters, and how to properly structure your screenplay. You will receive continued feedback throughout the writing process. You will also have the opportunity to hear your work read by professional actors at the course’s end.

There is a shift going on in the world today and it is affecting the entertainment industry. God is establishing His Kingdom. Closed doors are now opening. The church is taking a new direction. God is commissioning His servants to write and produce stories that carry His glory. As the world gets darker, people are hungering for the truth and the light. This is where the scarlet cord comes in. The scarlet cord is the blood of Jesus Christ, which is the source and substance of Christian life. Hence, the Scarlet Cord Initiative is more than just a workshop, it is the mobilization of creative minds, affecting the world for Christ through the media and entertainment industry.

The Scarlet Cord mission is to answer the call of the great commission, by creating a production company, where the stories of our selected workshop writers will be produced at a low cost initially, and distributed internationally. As a Scarlet Cord workshop writer you will have the option to see your work produced within the company, or be sent out into the mission field of Hollywood, script in hand, led by the Lord. There are four levels to the Scarlet Cord Initiative instruction: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Masterclass. Once you move on to the Intermediate and Advanced Class you will be invited to panel discussions with industry professionals, which will include writing agents, Hollywood and independent producers, and produced Christian filmmakers.
